  ... and for those who have been eagerly awaiting the ... 

 
  HOTEL CARPET COFFEE TABLE BOOK

If you follow the Particlekid Instagram account, maybe you have noticed that there is a frequency of posts documenting eclectic hotel carpets. 
 These carpet patterns have inspired an album of instrumental glow-fi/trip-hop/folk-jazz sound collage music. 

 Rather than turn the images into a physical coffee table book, Micah and his longtime friend/collaborator David Wexler (Strangeloop) are creating an interactive virtual reality hotel, which will be accessible through a public VR platform called The Wave and will debut the Hotel Carpet pattern music. A digital download of album will be available inside the VR hotel lobby's gift shop.

Micah has once again recruited two of his friends from the a/v collective Insects vs Robots, Tony "One-time" Peluso (drums) and Jeff "Fej" Smith (bass) for their second Particle run together from March 1-15 along the West Coast and in Austin, Texas...

On Tour with Margo Price

After hitting it off on the Outlaw Music Fest last year, Margo and Micah are taking advantage of alliteration and their love of music by joining up for two dates on Margo's Nowhere Fast Tour. 

If you can't catch the Boulder show, don't fret, Micah will be in Denver, COfor a solo gig at Herman's Hideaway.

PARTICLE KID ∞ EVERYTHING IS BULLSHIT ∞

Hey folks, happy release day :::-)
 I sure had a great time making this album. I've been loving the process and sound of a Tascam cassette 4-track recorder. And its got 12 songs -- (that's 2 more songs than "NEBRASKA"!!!)
I hope these songs bring some joy to a mad mad mad mad world.

Harvey

As likely as it would be for me to do a whole blog post about how great the classic 1950s film "Harvey" starring Jimmy Stewart is, this here is actually about lending a helping hand to our friends in Texas who have recently become climate refugees from the powerful hurricane known as Harvey. This is a message I would like to share from the National Hemp Association:

Our hearts go out to all those impacted by Hurricane Harvey and the resulting devastating flooding.

Shelters are in need of supplies, food, and water, but would rather get monetary donations to purchase what is needed. This site has all the links to the various groups helping those affected by Harvey.
